Founding Executive Director *2016-2026

Professor Theng Yin Leng was the Founding Executive Director of the Ageing Research Institute for Society and Education (ARISE) and President’s Chair in Information Studies at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, NTU. Since its inception in 2016, she led the institute with passion, compassion and foresight, dedicating her work to harnessing technology and community to advance healthy and sustainable ageing. She was not only a visionary leader and pioneering researcher, but also a mentor and friend who profoundly shaped our community.
