Structural Biology and Drug Discovery
Description of Research Category
We are using various technologies in structural biology and biophysical methods to decipher the relation between structure and function in biological macromolecules.
The technologies are X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy cryo-Electron microscopy as well as biophysical techniques such as circular dichroism, Surface plasmon resonance, Infrared spectroscopy, calorimetry
Fluorescence spectroscopy or analytical ultracentrifugation. These various technical platforms are used by scientists to address fundamental questions in biology and also to discover lead compounds for structure-based drug design.
