Student Participants/ Travelers on NIE University Sanctioned Trips (UST)

1. Purchase Travel Insurance
    (Only applicable for students admitted to NTU AY2019 or
    earlier. 
For students admitted after AY2019, you have been
    auto included in the NTU travel insurance)

Chubb Insurance Singapore Limited has been appointed by NTU for the Student's Group Travel Insurance.

Student are required to check with the school representative who is the organiser of the study trip to confirm if the respective trip is part of University Sanctioned Trip (UST).

Student need to write to the school representative who is the organizer of the study trip to find out the exact amount to pay.

Please make payment through NTU One-Stop Payment Portal link:

  • Click on:

  • Next, select “Student Travel Insurance (UG AY2019 and earlier”, fill in your particulars and make payment online. Please ensure that the amount is correct. Otherwise, it will jeopardize your ability to make claims, if applicable.

After you have made payment, please email a copy of your payment receipt back to your school representative.

  • You are required to fill in the Certificate of Insurance (COI) before your trip.  Please complete your travel details in COI Request template (download a copy) and email the completed form to [email protected].  Please provide for up to 3 working days for your COI to be sent by the insurer.

2. Register your profile with 'MyTrips' and do a 'Forward Itinerary (FI)' and download the ISOS Mobile App.

This is extremely important in enabling the University to respond in a timely manner, especially in facilitating communication with affected students, in the event of an emergency (e.g. Protests, Natural Disasters, etc.). The Mobile App will be used as one of the modes of communication.

3. Read, Fill in and Submit a scanned copy of the  Declaration of Undertaking Form

Email the letter to:

4: Travel DeclarationAll students are required to declare their travel plans and itineraries via NTU Travel Registry System prior to departure.

Email a screenshot of the completed Travel declaration to:
1) NIE Supervisor for research work/attachment OR
2) NIE staff in charge of programme related activities OR
3) NIE staff in charge of the event that student is taking part or representing.
5. Complete the E-module on risk assessment.Guide to access the e-module of risk management (Course ID: OHS2RM001)

Email a screenshot of the completed e-module to:

2) NIE staff in charge of programme related activities OR
3) NIE staff in charge of the event that student is taking part or representing.
