    ๐Ÿ“˜ Bridging Modules

Q: Will the five bridging modules be conducted simultaneously, and when will they start?
A: No. The five bridging modules will be offered on a staggered schedule with at most two modules overlapping. The first runs will begin immediately after offers are sent to successful applicants. Each module runs for 6 weeks, with assessments at the end. Students are strongly advised to register early to complete all bridging modules before the matriculation deadline.

Q: Do I need to be physically at NTU to take the bridging modules?
A: Modules are delivered via a blend of asynchronous and synchronous learning. Students access pre-recorded lectures and practice exercises, supported by weekly online consultations with NTU faculty. However, the final assessments are conducted onsite at NTU at pre-determined dates.

Q: What if I receive an offer but cannot pass all five bridging modules before the matriculation deadline?
A: You must pass all five modules before matriculation. If not, your offer will lapse. You may reapply in the next academic year; applicants with prior offers will be given due consideration if they pass outstanding modules in a re-run assessment.

Q: How long is a Bridging Module Test Pass valid for?
A: The pass is valid for three years from the date of completion.

    ๐ŸŽ“ Programme Differences

Q: What are the main differences between the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computing and the Bachelor of Computing (BComp) in Computer Science programme?
    A:

    • Admissions: BTech accepts any Polytechnic diploma; BComp only accept certain relevant diplomas.

    • Foundation: BTech requires passing 5 bridging modules before matriculation.

    • Curriculum: BTech students specialise in AI, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity, while BComp students may or may not specialise.

    • Approach: BTech is more practice-oriented, with modules co-developed with industry partners, hands-on assessments, and projects.

    • Industry immersion: BTech requires 1 year of paid OJT, compared to the BEngโ€™s 20-week internship.

Q: How does NTUโ€™s BTech in Computing differ from other BTech programmes in Singapore?
A: NTUโ€™s WSDeg BTech is among the most practice-oriented. Students complete:

    • A mini capstone project at the end of the Foundation stack

    • A mini capstone project at the end of the Specialist stack

    • An industrial capstone project

    • A full on-the-job training year supervised by industry specialists

This ensures graduates gain substantial real-world experience alongside academic learning.
