The NTU School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) welcomed prospective students and parents to its Tea Party on 9 May 2026, offering them the opportunity to learn more about the School’s programmes, student life, and vibrant community.

The welcome address was given by Professor Warren C. W. Chan, Dean of the College of Engineering, who highlighted the growing importance of interdisciplinary skills in addressing today’s complex challenges and preparing future learners for the age of AI.

Professor Chu Jian, Chair of the School, warmly welcomed attendees and shared an overview of CEE and future opportunities. Professor Yang En-Hua, Associate Chair (Undergraduate), provided prospective students and parents with an introduction to CEE’s undergraduate programmes and learning experiences.

Student speakers Foo Chuan Peng Jerrell (Civil Engineering, Year 4), Lee Ling Yuan Kevyn (Environmental Engineering, Year 3), and Eleos Tan (Maritime Studies, Year 3) took the stage to share their personal journeys and experiences at CEE, offering prospective students insights into student life and learning beyond the classroom.

The event also allowed attendees to interact with faculty, students, and staff while gaining a deeper understanding of the diverse pathways and experiences available at CEE.

The School would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to making the event a meaningful one. We look forward to welcoming our new students in August.
