DESCRIPTION OF LAB RESEARCH WORK

Our group focuses on clinical research with Chinese Medicine (CM) and Integrative Medicine (IM), evidence-based approaches and epidemiological research on Chinese Medicine and Integrative Medicine. Our particular research interests include (1) the clinical trial and cohort study on complicated Chinese medicine interventions including Chinese herbal formula, single herb, and acupuncture on functional digestive disorder, autoimmune diseases and women’s health; (2) development of clinical practice guidelines and pathways to standardize the diagnosis and treatment of CM; (3) new drug discovery  from Chinese herbal medicine and its active fraction for Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
