About Us

Our History
NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur), previously known as Nanyang Technopreneurship Center, was established in January 2001 with seed funding from the Economic Development Board (EDB), Singapore. A multi-disciplinary university-level centre, NTU Entrepreneurship Academy was created to be the focal point of entrepreneurship education within the University and the region, and is committed to fostering, promoting and nurturing a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship endeavours through entrepreneurship education.

Our Programmes and Outreach
NTU Entrepreneurship Academy (NTUpreneur) equips its students with skills in entrepreneurship competence through the Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation Programme (MSc TIP) for postgraduates, the Minor in Entrepreneurship Programme (MiE), Second Major in Entrepreneurship (SMiE) and Overseas Entrepreneurship Programme (OEP) for undergraduates, the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for executives, as well as several national and campus wide events held year round.

Our Key Ethos
As part of its mission to deliver a holistic entrepreneurship education, NTU Entrepreneurship Academy encourages passion as a key motivator, inculcates an entrepreneurial mindset to initiate innovative changes, harnesses technology as an enabling tool for learning and business; and stresses the importance of developing responsible and ethical entrepreneurs who are committed to using their expertise and resources to bring about significant economic and social development in the communities in which they operate. The ethos of the NTU Entrepreneurship Academy’s philosophy lies in developing entrepreneurs with the heart, will and capability to make a positive and meaningful difference to society.

Our Journey
As NTU Entrepreneurship Academy entered its 20th anniversary, the academy will continue to promote and develop an entrepreneurial environment, in line with the nation's effort to create a vibrant and thriving sector of high growth technology-oriented companies. Our programmes consistently provide students who are deeply passionate about entrepreneurship with one of the best innovation and entrepreneurship education and industry-related applied research platforms. Moving forward, NTU Entrepreneurship Academy will continue to develop and grow the technology entrepreneurship ecosystem by providing a world-class education and inspiring students to identify economic values of technology and translate them into products and services that benefit the society.
