In conjunction with its 25th anniversary, WKWSCI has introduced a new advisory board made up of exemplary alumni who have gone on to become trailblazers and innovators in their careers. This Board will work closely with School management to shape and transform the future of its programmes and curriculum.

Chua Chin Hon

Lead, AI Strategy & Solutions, Mediacorp
Class of 1998

A journalist and editor for about two decades in Singapore, China and the United States, Chin Hon is passionate about all aspects of the news industry. He is currently the lead of AI Strategy & Solutions at Mediacorp, Singapore’s largest content creator and national media network.

In her position as Chief Customer & Corporate Development Officer at Mediacorp, Angeline oversees Mediacorp’s customer engagement and programming across its multiple platforms, including English, Chinese, Malay and Indian audiences. As part of Mediacorp’s senior management team since 2018, she led the Corporate Development and Strategic Planning teams that maintain oversight for and execution of corporate-wide strategic projects and initiatives.

Before joining Mediacorp, Angeline was the Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Industry Development Group) at the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), where she spearheaded efforts to develop a vibrant infocomm and media ecosystem. Prior to the formation of IMDA, she led the Media Development Authority’s (MDA) industry planning and development group and previously served as the Managing Director of McGraw-Hill Education (Asia), after holding various positions at the Singapore Economic Development Board.

Eugene Wee

Since graduating from WKWSCI, Eugene has been with Singapore Press Holdings, taking on roles at The New Paper such as journalist covering tech, politics, business, crime and entertainment, foreign correspondent based in the US, news editor and editor.

He is currently the Chief Customer Officer at Singapore Press Holdings where he oversees divisions and functions that interface with the company’s audience.

Joanne Yap

Group Chief Operating Officer, Group Director, Institutional Community Care, National University Health System

In her role as Group Chief Operating Officer, Group Director, Institutional Community Care with the National University Health System, Joanne works with colleagues to drive operational alignment, effectiveness and efficiency across the various institutions in NUHS, to achieve seamless care and service to patients. Joanne also holds various senior positions at other public healthcare institutions, including Chief Strategy Officer of Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital; Director of Jurong Medical Centre.

Head of Communications, Southeast Asia and North Asia, and Internal Communications Lead, APAC, LinkedIn
Class of 2004

At LinkedIn, Linda plays a unique hybrid role in marrying both internal and external communications in Asia Pacific - leading and driving communications initiatives in Southeast Asia and North Asia, as well as corporate and internal communications for Asia Pacific.

She is also the Founder of White Parachute, a mentoring programme serving "seemingly average" students in Singapore.

Since graduating from WKWSCI, Adrian has won over 90 creative and effectiveness awards, becoming the first and only Singaporean to win back-to-back D&AD Yellow Pencils. From Saatchi & Saatchi to DDB and Ogilvy, Adrian’s work was internationally awarded in Cannes, One Show, Effies and D&AD across multiple disciplines including digital, mobile, print and activation.

Sam Kang Li

Shortly after graduation in 2009, Kang Li established Little Red Ants Creative Studio with four other partners – all WKWSCI alumni. Today, the video production agency, which also employs several alumni, is a 35-men team that creates content to communicate effectively for clients in sectors such as aviation, education, government, healthcare and more.

Sarah Thiam

Sarah Thiam

Senior Manager, GovTech Singapore
Class of 2015

At GovTech Singapore, Sarah works with her colleagues to engage, cultivate and recruit Singapore-US tech talent for opportunities in Singapore. She leads the tech talent strategy for Singapore’s Smart Nation vision and the programmatic overseas talent outreach for the United States.

Prior to this, Sarah led the event strategy and operations across Microsoft Asia Pacific, previously managing product marketing for Windows 10 and Surface devices in Microsoft Singapore. The power of branding is a keen interest which stems from her rich experience from WKWSCI, with opportunities to lead events such as the Perspectives Film Festival and WKWSCI D&D.
