SCSE Student Competition Team Won 2nd Runner-up at EDAthon 2020
The EDAthon 2020 was held online on 7 Aug 2020. EDAthon is a whole-day programming contest that features interesting and challenging topics in Electronic Design Automation (EDA). It is also a unique opportunity to bring together talents for EDA which enables the rapid advancement in computer technology.
Participants can compete in the 5 problem areas:
- System Design and Analysis,
- Logic and High-level Design,
- Physical Design,
- Circuit Analysis, and
- Emerging Technologies, e.g., DFM, Security, Biochip, Machine Learning in EDA etc.
The team members are, Zhu Shien (SCSE PhD) and Chew Jing Wei (CS, Year 4); team supervisor, Asst Prof Liu Weichen. The 24 teams from universities across mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and Singapore were subsequently ranked based on the quality of the result obtained and the problem-solving speed.
