SCSE and HP Inc. to Advance Digital Manufacturing Worldwide with First HP-NTU Corporate Innovation Lab in Asia

NTU, along with HP and the NRF, have announced the creation of a new HP-NTU Digital Manufacturing Corporate Lab located at NTU, representing an $84 million push towards industry transformation in the areas of digital manufacturing and 3D printing technologies. This new corporate lab is HP’s first university lab collaboration in Asia, and NTU’s seventh such lab.

Within this collaboration, SCSE faculties Nanyang Asst Prof Sinno Pan, Assoc Prof Zheng Jianmin, Assoc Prof Liu Yang and Nanyang Asst Prof Liu Weichen (from left to right in the photo) are leading the six research projects in artificial intelligence, machine learning and cybersecurity with a total $17 million research funding.  Assoc Prof Liu Yang and Asst Prof Sinno Pan are appointed as AI & Cybersecurity Programme Director and Deputy Programme Director respectively.
