Prof Lam was at the Singapore International Cyber Week, 18 Sept
IoT Security Roundtable at Marina Bay Sands Singapore
Following recent high profile cyber security issues at home and abroad, the third Singapore International Cyber Week, and the Asean Ministerial Conference on Cybersecurity (AMCC) took place last week at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. Member nations collected
to pledge renewed effort to combat cyber attacks, although past performance has seen low financial support for cyber security issues. NTUs Prof Lam Kwok Yan was at the three day event and made note of the increasingly interconnected nature of modern
online systems, both in terms of international connectedness, and also across diverse industries within countries. Following this event, it was announced that Singapore would be setting up a new Asean-Singapore Centre of Excellence, focusing on cyber
security in the region.
