NTU CoE Research – Young Faculty Award 2023 Special Mention

Associate Professor Tan Rui from School of Computer Science and Engineering wins the Special Mention Trophy of NTU CoE Research – Young Faculty Award 2023. The Award recognises rising stars in the College of Engineering. The CoE Award winners were selected after a rigorous evaluation process by the six CoE Schools and the CoE Management.

Assoc Prof Tan Rui and his research group study cyber-physical systems and Internet of Things. With an experimental basis, his research tries to understand how the physical processes affect the cyber systems and exploit certain properties of the physical processes to advance the functional and non-functional aspects of the cyber systems. His research has previously been recognised by various best paper awards and runner-ups at prestigious international conferences. With immediate application potential, his research is funded by government authorities and companies in the information technology, energy, and manufacturing sectors.
