Congratulations to Mr Jiang Liming for winning the 2021 Singapore Data Science Consortium (SDSC) Dissertation Research Fellowship!
The SDSC Dissertation Fellowship aims to promote and recognise innovative and impactful data science thesis work of PhD students. This annual programme will provide up to ten cash awards of S$10,000 for doctoral students at Singapore universities.
Mr Jiang Liming is supervised by Assoc Prof Loy Chen Change at MMLab@NTU and is currently in his Year 3 of PhD study. Liming’s
PhD project is on image and video generation. He has published his PhD work in top conferences, including NeurIPS 2021, ICCV 2021, ECCV 2020 and CVPR 2020, in the field of machine learning and computer vision. Notably, his work on Adaptive Pseudo
Augmentation and Focal Frequency Loss help training generative models with better synthesis quality yet with fewer data. Liming also co-organized DeeperForensics Challenge 2020 and OpenMMLab Workshop 2021.
