The Biology Graduate Students Club (BGSC) encompasses graduate students from the School of Biological Sciences (SBS) as well as the Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE). It was founded in August 2015 with the aim of providing a stimulating environment for graduate students from various disciplines of biological research to exchange ideas and suggestions pertaining to research. In addition, the BGSC exists to facilitate interpersonal, interdisciplinary and interdepartmental interactions, as well as provide networking opportunities to improve students’ academic and social outcomes. The BGSC strives to enhance the overall graduate experience and promote interaction between faculty, research staff and graduate students. We also wish to create means for social interactions and non-work- related bonding, bringing together like-minded graduate students from all disciplines and ages who share common passions.
