Dr. Li Lei is Singapore MOE SM3 Scholar in 2005 and obtained his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2010. He completed his PhD study in MAE NTU 2016 focusing on design and control of exoskeleton robot.  After that he joined Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore as Research Fellow leading the robotics team to develop a series of assistive robots to improve the QoL of elderly and impaired person.


​​Academic & Professional Experience
Dr. Li is full stack roboticist with experience in robotics mechanism design, motion planning, control, and perception. Specifically, he focus on developing intelligent rehabilitation and assistive robots for helping disabled and elderly person. He has experience of developing wide range of assistive robotics covering the function of arm movements, walking, balance, driving and transferring.  He has 10 years’ experience working on rehabilitation and assistive robotics and has four patents on rehabilitation and assistive robots.
