FlexiMasters (SCSE)

With the fourth industrial revolution, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made profound impact on business and society. Applied AI and Machine Learning (ML) are creating safer workplaces, more accurate health diagnoses and better access to information for global citizens. Governments have also welcomed the use and development of AI through investments and deployment of AI in public services.  The fast-paced growth of facilities and ever-increasing existence of AI-based systems in our lives raise pressing questions about the impact, governance, ethics, and accountability of these technologies around the world.

There is a need to narrow the knowledge gap between AI researchers and professors, who develop state-of-the-art AI technologies, and the diverse stakeholders who operate, interact with, and are otherwise impacted by these technologies. We must ensure that the advent of technological revolutions benefits the Singapore economy while protecting privacy and human dignity and curtailing social inequality or imbalances.

As rapid developments in technology render existing jobs obsolete and create new jobs at an unprecedented speed, there is an urgent need for professionals in every industry to constantly renew their skillsets and acquire new skills, so that they can be versatile and prepared for future challenges.

Whether you are an aspiring fresh graduate, a seasoned industry veteran, or a professional facing a career transition, this programme will help you get new opportunities, tackle new challenges as well as provide the path to successful career switches.

Note: The FlexiMasters are currently not mapped to the relevant Master’s Programme.

The initiative of FlexiMasters courses in Artificial Intelligence and AI Ethics is designed to help those who wish to acquire more knowledge in applying ethical AI practices in organizations and wish to understand and help societies to solve problems brought about by the impact of AI.
