Introduction

This 6-month full-time programme is designed to prepare our learners to be successful cybersecurity specialist with technical input and mentoring by industry professionals. 

We provide our learners with front-line experiences in learning and solving real-world issues with assigned industry SMEs. Immersing them in the front-line real-world working environment learning enables the graduates to be prepared in this highly in-demand field.

Our mentors are practitioners and industry recognized professionals. They also bring in their diverse local and global industry experiences to support our graduates, with the necessary advice they need to launch their careers.

Our real-world projects require our learners to apply their knowledge and hone their skills in actual real problems in organizations from our network of partners and clients. The real-world work also stretches our students to practice their communication and engagement skills while problem-solving with organizations. Our learners will be able to build their relevant experience portfolio to showcase upon graduation. 

Our global partner eco-system, with local and global employers, can help our learners to be more competitive once they have completed the programme because their experience is tailor fit with the requirements in the job market. • Conduct Vulnerability Assessments (VA) and reporting
• Understand data analytics and reporting
• Conduct information security risk assessments (ISRA)
• Able to review and highlight gaps in policies and documentations
• Able to create a (sales) business plan

Module Title

Synopsis

Information Technology Support

Learners will learn about computers, networks, applications and how to follow a set of procedures to execute tasks related to support and validate solutions provided by vendors. They will also learn about Security Transformation which is the new approach of operations for the new normal.

Vulnerability Assessment

This module covers the usage of vulnerability assessment tools and how to uncover the risks to organizations. The learner will be able to clearly present the findings so they can have an appreciation on the risks identified and mitigation strategies to be implemented.

Information Security Risk Assessment

Learn about security controls assessment techniques to identify weaknesses and the possible risk treatments to be applied to achieve the required levels of confidentiality, integrity, availability to the organization.

Creating Policies and Documentations

In this module, the learner will be able to learn about the emerging trends in risk management. The practitioners will coach the learner about strategic planning techniques for information security governance and align the organization’s security controls against emerging threats.

Data Analytics and Reporting

This module covers the core principle of developing basic dashboards and report scorecards. This allows the learner to understand the elements of the data and its interpretation, which they can use craft reports to management.

Building a Business Plan The learner will learn how to manage customer accounts, develop an account management framework and customer service skills to engage, retain and grow the customer base. Learn client relationship techniques and understand the market dynamics for inside sales activities.



Methodology

Our actual field experience stands out in this highly industry-relevant and workplace-centric learning for our students. Our industry practitioners will mentor trainees to create their own portfolio through doing projects with real companies via our eco-system of partners. Our learning approach is experiential based with active learning, guidance and interactions with practitioners.

Industry-Focused Curriculum

Our courseware is developed by industry practitioners with years of experience in the front lines, direct input from trainers with Masteral degrees in cybersecurity and information technology plus local curriculum content coaches. Our mission is to deliver industry relevant learning experiences and mentoring, equip our trainees with the tools and skills to develop work related portfolio and actual work experience from companies which they can articulate to their potential hiring managers and showcase they are fit for the workplace.
Real-World Projects Portfolio  Our Skills Development Lab is portfolio programmed which allows our trainees to work with real companies and potential hiring partners on projects that provide trainees with the portfolio they need in their job search. This project-based, hands-on learning approach also gives trainees an opportunity to learn essential soft skills, such as how to communicate with clients and the skills they will need in their career for any client-facing role. This approach allows the students to be immersed in a real-wold environment preparing them to be culture fit for the workplace.

Our ecosystem of practitioners and industry subject matter experts will provide mentoring and advise based on their expertise. Hear new insights from world leading experts to have great ideas you can leverage while doing your portfolio. Graduate Career Support

Our graduate support assistance helps prepare the trainees to integrate with the workforce and set them up for success. We provide soft skills development combined with the technical portfolio from projects with our global partners. We develop partner relationships with local employers as well as the SME community to combine our job match services and events which allows trainees to talk to potential hiring managers and head-hunters

 

 

This programme is for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents jobseekers meeting the following criteria:

  1. Two or more years of experience and have been impacted by COVID-19
  2. Diploma in Information Technology (IT) ¦ ITE graduates with IT specialisation ¦ O level and work experience in Information Technology (IT)
  3. Pre-course assessment and interview

Training Allowance:

All learners will receive training allowance of $1,200 per month for the duration of course attended.

Standard Course Fee: S$19,260.00

Mr Ruben Mondejar

Mr Ruben Mondejar

Ruben Mondejar is a seasoned cyber security specialist with a cumulative experience of 16 Years in the Information Security industry, majority of which he has spent focusing on malware analysis, SOC/CSIRT design, threat intelligence and incident response. His experience pans across various industry verticals and across different geographies in Asia Pacific and Japan, Middle East and North America. He has conducted training for various national CERTs and Law Enforcement across APJ and collaborates with researchers in the Center for Security Studies in Zurich on cyber security policy making for AFP Cyber Group. Leads the C.E.R.A. team of Philippine National Police Anti-Cyber Crime Group (PNP ACG) and the Cyber Security Unit of AFPRESCOM on his spare time to improve the cyber security practice in the Philippines. He is a cybersecurity advocate and educator. During his personal time he does public speaking on conferences / seminars, shares knowledge by conducting pro bono workshops. Advisory Council member to Philippine law enforcement and consultant to government, politicians and armed forces whenever the need arises. The highlight of his career is that he commanded 2 command centers in Singapore during the Anonymous attack in 2013 against the Singapore Government. Currently doing an education upgrade in Carnegie Mellon University on Fundamentals of Incident Handling and Creating a Computer Security for Incident Response Team. Targeting to do his Masters in Philippines National Defense College MNSA program to be a future policy maker for National Security.

Mr Rodel F. Plasabas

Rodel graduated from Informatics College of Manila in 2017. He is a cyber security enthusiast focusing on penetration testing and digital forensics. He used to work in Philippines’ National Bureau of Investigation, the leading investigation agency in the Philippines for 4 years doing digital forensics and cybercrime investigation. He also worked with law enforcement and defense agencies in the past by providing them with resources they need to efficiently do their tasks when it comes to defending cyberspace. 


Mr Ricson Singson

Mr Ricson Singson

Ricson is the CEO and Founder of SQrity Consulting. The consulting firm is in digital and cyber services focusing on digital transformation, cybersecurity, and educational technology.

Ricson started as a technology professional in 1997 and performed IT project management, IT & security operations, IT executive management and strategic planning & execution. He also served as a consultant for technology projects in strategic, digital transformation, security planning, data protection, e-commerce, infrastructure, operational, and software development activities for companies from various industries. Ricson serves as a board member for a coaching & mentoring organization arid a social enterprise while being an active' member of various associations {ISACA, CSA, ISDG, NADPOP, and PeLS).

His commitment to the future generation includes engagement with De La Salle University under the College of Business-Decision Sciences and Innovation Department and De La Salle-College of Saint Berhade, School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPaCE). Aileen Lim

Ms Aileen Lim

Aileen have been working in an academic institution since 2002 and am still connected in one of the colleges here in the Philippines as an I.T Professor under the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) and have an administrative position as Coordinator for Student Services for the College Department. 

She has spent 19 years teaching both Undergrad and Professional students in the field of Information Technology, 4 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator in the Engineering Department at Al Musana’a College of Technology (Sultanate of Oman), and Laboratory Head cum Database Administrator at Mapua Information Technology Center. Aileen earned her Master’s Degree in Engineering Management major in Systems Management at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) last April 2013 and is pursuing a doctoral degree in mid of 2021.

 

Mr Peter Seah

Peter is a generative conversation curator and facilitator working with leaders, their teams and organizations to achieve their performances through behavior shifts and transformative conversations. He is married with one son. Peter is schooled in the field of system analysis and has an MBA(Hull) in management systems. He has more than 30 years of management and leadership positions, including sales and business development, in start-ups, private and public organizations, covering health, oil and gas, cyber-security, customer goods, banking industries in Middle East, East Asia and South-East Asia regions. He has experienced in large scale projects covering change and transformation, system renewal, physical security system, information system network, SAP HR and Finance, and info-comms technology areas.

Peter is a Certified™ Professional Facilitator (CPF), IAF Certified™ Assessor, and other numerous personality and team assessment tools (e.g. MBTI, FIRO-B, Team Diagnostic Survey, Strength Deployment Inventory, TetraMap®). He has spoken and delivered facilitation related workshops at international conferences e.g. Vietnam HR Summit, IAF Korea Conference and IAF Japan Conference and through the Adult Network/ Institute of Adult Learning communities. He is currently the President of the IAF Singapore Chapter 2019-2021, Board Member, Society For Organisation Learning, Singapore and member of the System Thinking Data Research Team, Madrid 2020.

A business development professional with 19 years of experience, of which 13 years were in technology covering cybersecurity, internet services, IT security and business solutions focusing on market expansion in Asia. Ian is currently a business owner for lifestyle products and services in the Philippines, and concurrently working with a data analytics and a cybersecurity firm in market expansion projects.

He has spent the recent 6 years in a global bank gaining valuable knowledge and experience in governance, risk management and business transformation covering 49 countries globally. 

 

Mr Sean Lee

Mr Sean Lee

Sean is a senior consultant specialising in information system security, infrastructure security and change management. He has more than 35 years of working experiences, including senior leadership positions in the military, public and private sectors. His domain knowledge and experiences cover strategy, operations, logistics, security, maritime operations, information systems, people management, project management, learning science and change management. Sean has a rich and wide professional experience in information systems security, national security and maritime security. His experience in the National Heritage Board included managing the information systems such as taking care of the information system security and complying with stringent regulations governing public sector information systems while ensuring that confidentiality, integrity and availability principles are adhered. Sean gained invaluable experiences with the National Security Coordination Secretariat in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) where his responsibilities included emergency readiness, developing programmes for risk assessment and horizon scanning, business continuity management, as well as raising national resilience and public awareness of national security that covers cybersecurity. In addition, Sean’s military experiences infused him with profound knowledge of maritime security and port security, as well as leadership and personnel management.

In the past 15 years, I have been working as an IT Professional in the IT industry as a project manager, senior software engineer and a pre-sales consultant. I have extensive experience in analyzing, selecting and modifying enterprise systems, installing network hardware and software, and managing large scale enterprise networks. With this core technical experience with cyber security and forensics skill sets, I am an asset to your organization.

My unique propagation would come in the area of an experienced IT Security Veteran who has achieved and pilot launched many successful IT Government projects. My G50 Security Clearance is as follow for National Security Code Security Classification : CAT 2B Clearance for MHA (2017) | CAT 2 Clearance for E-Cop CWC (2016) | CAT 2A Clearance for STE InfoSoft (2014-2015) | CAT 1A Clearance for MINDEF Intelligence (2004-2006)

Moving forward to the career path of Information technology, I have graduated with a Double Major Degree in Cyber Forensic and Business Information System at Murdoch University, Western Australia Perth and I have acquired remarkable forensics skills and business strategy skills in the areas of cyber forensics and business intelligence. I believe that my academic studies, technical certifications as well as working experience will benefit the organization.
