This course provide participants with important knowledge on the ecological basis of the natural environment from a regional and planetary perspective. It equips participants with a good understanding of the key requirements and constraints for social development and survival, including water and the built environment. This course also covers the intersection of economic markets and financial systems from the perspective of driving growth and consumption, as well as playing a role as incentives for positive change. Last but not least, course participants will also learn about the political economy framework of global and regional sustainability challenges.
