Introduction
Drug discovery is a notoriously risky and expensive process. AI-driven drug discovery has emerged rapidly in recent years, to become a major avenue for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to gain faster and cheaper access to drug therapeutics. This course is intended to introduce students to the application of AI/ML and computational data analysis in drug discovery.
- Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and AI Plus
- FlexiMasters in Artificial Intelligence and AI Plus
Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to:
- Write a comprehensive report on project findings.
- Submit well-designed and well-documented source code.
- Prepare a presentation to share findings with the class.
This is a project-based course which will reinforce drug discovery concepts through practical experience. Projects may be by a team of two learners or by individual learners, depending on the class size. Learners will plan projects and make project proposals. Each project group will be mentored by an instructor.
No pre-requisites are needed to enrol in the individual courses.
Participants need to take note that those without qualifications or prior working experience in relevant engineering or the related fields, may find the course contents challenging.
