On completion of the course, the learners should be able to:
SONET/SDH frame structure. Elements of SONET/SDH networks. Singlehop and multi-hop optical networks. The data rate handling capability of
above-mentioned networks will be discussed.
Optical access networks
FTTX. Gigabit Ethernet passive optical networks (EPON). Wavelengthrouted optical networks. Design examples will be discussed including few
case studies.
For aspiring engineers and Information technologists who wish to improve their knowledge and skills in the broad area of communication engineering.
