Introduction
This module is an overview of issues and concerns seminal to the success of ventures in the world of contemporary publishing. Considerable time will be spent on three foci: examining the nature of the publishing industry as a cultural/informational node, theory and practice in production and marketing, and the legal territory publishers must navigate.
