NTU-Alliance Accelerating Creativity Excellence(ACE) Thematic Grant Call on Ending Plastic Waste Signing ceremony

At the signing ceremony held at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), witnessed by NTU’s President, Professor Subra Suresh and the Alliance to End Plastic Waste’s President and CEO, Mr Jacob Duer, Professor Lam Khin Yong, Senior Vice President (Research) and Mr Nicholas Kolesc, Vice President, Project, sat together and inked an agreement to collectively pledge $1.2 million to fund the special Accelerating Creativity Excellence Thematic Grant Call on Ending Plastic Waste. This collaboration is the first step in the efforts to catalyse high quality research projects. Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) highlighted that “the Alliance’s industry-led efforts will tap on Singapore’s research capabilities to catalyse innovations that create value out of plastic waste. Leveraging on NTU’s high-quality research and development ecosystem, this will target Singapore’s plastic waste loop to create higher-value products which is vital to both the Alliance and NTU’s vision in sustainability.
