Dandelion is NTU's first interdisciplinary artwork created entirely by the NTU Community.
Standing over five metres tall, this artistic concept that marries art with technology was first presented in 2012 by Wee Yen Lynn in Arch. Fabrizio Galli's - (Visiting Artist of School of Art, Design and Media) PRO 350 Product Design IV class. Wee was then a third year student. Her work was shortlisted for development by an inter-disciplinary team of faculty and staff from the School of Art, Design and Media (ADM), Energy Research Institute at NTU (ERI@N) and NTU Museum.
Dandelion is self-sustaining and is powered by renewable energy. It was built under Fabrizio's guidance and supervision, and with technological inputs from ERI@N. The work was commissioned and supported by NTU Museum's Renewable Energy Art and Public Art initiatives.
