Dr Sunil Chandrakant Joshi

Dr. Sunil C. Joshi received his doctorate from Monash University, Clayton, Australia, for his work on the composites manufacturing processes. Prior to that he worked as Scientist at the National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, India, where he was part of the composite structures group from 1988 to 1994. He obtained his M. Tech. degree in Aeronautical Engineering with aircraft structures specialization in 1988 from Indian Institute of Technology at Mumbai.
Dr. Sunil joined the Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2000 and since then has been an Academic in the School of Mechnanical and Aerospace Engineering. He serves under the Aerospace Engineering cluster with Materials and Structures as the focus area. He is concurrently serving on the School Management Committee as the Associate Chair (Academic) since 2017. He has been also part other committees as well as has chaired the School accreditation committee that worked towards the full accreditation for the BEng (Aerospace Engineering) course twice - in 2011 and 2016. He has more than 240 different publications to his credit and often gets invited as reviewer by international journals and conferences.
Prof Sunil was a project team member for XSAT, Singapore's first in-house designed and developed micro-satellite, where he served as the team leader for the satellite's thermal controls sub-system.
