How do I book sports facilities?

Badminton, squash, tennis courts & table tennis tables can only be used after booking is made using the Online Booking System (Access via STUDENTLINK or STAFFLINK > Sports Facility Online Booking System).  The system is only open to NTU full-time students (undergraduates/postgraduates/exchange students) and full-time staff. 

Other categories of users (including part-time students) can only book these facilities (with charges) in person at the Sports & Recreation Centre General Office located at The Wave on weekdays from 9am to 5pm.

Group bookings of facilities are available for organized groups (NTU-registered clubs/schools/halls/societies) only and must be made by the respective appointment holders. Requests for bookings can be submitted to srcgo@ntu.edu.sg with following details:

  1. Date & time of use

  2. Description of activities

  3. Facilities required

What are the sports facilities available on campus?

We have a range of indoor, outdoor as well as aquatic facilities.  Details of these facilities can be found at our Sports & Recreation Centre website under Campus Life.

Are the sports facilities open to the public?

The university sports facilities (including gyms and swimming pool) are not open to the public. Only university staff, students and their invited guests are eligible to use the facilities.

What are the opening hours of sports facilities?

The opening hours vary for different facilities.

What are the charges for use of sports facilities?

No entry fee is required for NTU full-time students and staff who wish to use the badminton, squash, tennis courts and table tennis tables.  However, the facilities must be booked through the Online Booking System before use. (Access via STUDENTLINK or STAFFLINK > Sports Facility Online Booking System).  Entry to the swimming pool is also free for these users.

However other categories of users (including part-time students) would need to purchase the Swimming Pool Membership in order to use the pool and pay nominal entry fees to use abovementioned sports facilities.

Reservations of facilities for organised activities may come with rental, utilities and operation charges.

Are there locker services at the Sports & Recreation Centre?

Free self-service lockers are available at the Wave for day users. Please clear your lockers before office closing hours. Items kept overnight may be removed during inspection.

Are there shower and changing facilities at the Sports & Recreation Centre?

There are shower and changing facilities at the Sports & Recreation Centre. However, you will need to provide own toiletries and keep the place clean.

What are the opening hours for the gyms?

The North Hill gym is open from 7.00am – 10.00pm daily (including public holidays).

What are the charges for use of gyms?

Admission to North Hill Gym is strictly limited to registered members, with their membership card.  Staff/students may use the gym by registering as a free member.

Who can I contact regarding sports on campus?

Selection and training will be conducted and we recruit student athletes who have prior competitive experiences and skills for the respective sports competed.
