Moving into your Apartments

 

HAS-FH will arrange to hand over all keys, documents on housing terms & conditions and inventory for your endorsement once you have accepted the assigned apartment. There will be electricity, water and NTU internet access inside the apartments. For all full time faculty members, the rental and utilities (vary depending on consumption) will be deducted from your monthly salary. For visiting faculty, they can opt to pay by cash or through monthly salary deduction.

 

Before moving to your assigned apartment, you may wish to know the two different types of apartments:

Partially Furnished Apartments

Partially furnished apartments are assigned to faculty members on long term stay (more than one year).

The apartment consists of:

  • Air-conditioning in all bedrooms
  • Built-in wardrobe
  • Kitchen cabinet
  • Hot water supply to bathrooms
  • Ceiling fans (dining, living & bedrooms)
  • Internet connection (one point)

Furnished Apartments

Furnished apartments are assigned to short term visiting faculty (less than one year).

The apartment consists of:

  • Air-conditioning for the whole apartment
  • Curtains, linen, towels, for each bedroom
  • Cooking appliances & cutlery
  • Microwave oven
  • Television
  • Washer
  • Refrigerator
  • Internet connection
  • Furniture

Maintenance & Services

New faculty members enjoy 3 months of free repair & maintenance after their check-in except for defects caused by faculty member’s negligence. To report repairs, faculty members can email fh@ntu.edu.sg or call HAS-FH at 67905189 if the responsibility falls within the purview of HAS-FH. Faculty members who stay on campus may apply for the following services at their own cost:

  • Residential phone
  • Cable TV
  • Additional high broadband access

Fault Reporting Centre (FRC) &
Campus Security

Faculty members are strongly encouraged to call the FRC (24 hours) at 67904777 to report any repair or work requests. They should agree on the specific works and rates with NTU term contractors before commencement of work. Faculty members can also email us at fh@ntu.edu.sg for a list of recommended rates for some standard repairs.

For any security matters including lost of keys and errant noise disturbances, faculty members may call the NTU Campus Security at 67905200.
