Nanyang Asst Prof Wong Liang Jie was named one of 10 winners in the physical sciences category of the Falling Walls Global Call 2024. They acknowledged Asst Prof Wong's work on “Breaking the Wall of Quantum X-ray Tech”, which has led to "more compact, safer, and effective X-ray solutions” and "is set to revolutionise fields such as medical diagnostics, industrial inspection and security scanning”.
The Global Call and Science Breakthrough awards, organised by Berlin-based Falling Walls Foundation, celebrate outstanding scientific achievements across six categories that have the power to change the world. Over 1,000 nominations were received for the Global Call.
