1)  When will applications for NTU-H3 Science Research open?
The window for application for NTU-H3 Science Research will open in February along with applications for the Nanyang Research Programme (NRP).
2)  How do I apply for a place in NTU-H3 Science Research? 
​All applications for a place in NTU-H3 Science Research will have to be made through your school’s NRP Teacher Coordinator. 
3)  When can I apply to for a place in NTU-H3 Science Research? 
You can apply for a place in an NTU-H3 Science Research once your JC 1 school year starts. Application details will be released through your school’s NRP Teacher Coordinator. 
4)  What is the criteria for selection?
​Selection will be based on academic merit. Considerations will be made based on the your performance at the GCE O-Level Examinations as well as your school’s recommendations. Only applicants who have received their school’s endorsement and recommendation will be considered. 
5)  Will I have to pay a course fee to take H3 Science Research?
All students taking H3 Science Research will have to pay a course fee. The course fee per H3 Science Research undertaken is pegged at $640, of which $580 will be paid via a grant from the MOE. The balance of $60 will be payable by the student. 
6)  When is the official starting date for NTU-H3 Science Research? 
You may officially start working on your NTU-H3 Science Research in April of your application year. 
7)  When will the confirmation of the offer for NTU-H3 Science Research students take place?
​The confirmation of the offer for NTU-H3 Science Research students will occur in July. 
8) ​ Can I withdraw from H3 Science Research?
You may decide to withdraw from H3 Science Research upon acceptance of NTU's offer. You will however have to complete and submit the official MOE withdrawal form through your school's H3 Teacher Coordinator to NTU. 

Do take note of the timeline for withdrawal:

Withdrawal before the stipulated deadline No penalty 
Withdrawal after the stipulated deadline 
Course fee of S$60 will be charged;

Administrative fee of S$50 for Singapore Permanent Residents & $70 for international students (payable to SEAB) will be charged;

An "Absent" grade will be issued by SEAB on the A-Level certificate.

9) ​ Will the results for NTU-H3 Science Research be reflected in my A-Level certificate?
Yes, the results you have obtained for NTU-H3 Science Research will be reflected in your A-Level certificate. The results will only be released together with the release of the results for your other H1 and H2 subjects. 
10)  Will there be any exemptions from undergraduate modules in NTU should I apply for a place in the University? 
No, exemption(s) will not be made for H3 Science Research.
However, exemptions will be made for students who have taken the NTU-H3 Taught Modules - refer to the list of exemptions here.
