FAQs

1)  When will applications for NRP and NRPjr open? 
Applications for NRP and NRPjr will open in early-February and close at the end of February.
NRP:  You can apply for NRP if you are in JC1 or IP Year 5
NRPjr:  You can apply for NRPjr if you are in Sec 3 or IP Year 3 / IP Year 4. 
Application details will be released through your school’s NRP and NRPjr Teacher Coordinator.
2)  How do I apply for NRP and NRPjr? 
All applications for a place in NRP and NRPjr will have to be made your school’s NRP and NRPjr Teacher Coordinator. The list of NRP and NRPjr Teacher Coordinators can be found here.
3)  What is the criteria for selection?
All applications for NRP and NRPjr must be made through the NRP/NRPjr application form during the articulated application period. Only applications that have been recommended/endorsed by your school will be considered. The NRP/NRPjr Supervisor will make the final decision and select the student(s) that he/she would want to work with.
4)  Will I have to pay a fee for NRP/NRPjr?
No. No fee will be levied. 
5)  What is the official start and end date for NRP/NRPjr? How long will the NRP/NRPjr stretch for?
NRP/NRPjr commences in April each year and will run for approximately 12 calendar months till March the following year.  
You may start working on your project officially in April once all consent forms have been signed and submitted to your NRP/NRPjr Teacher Coordinator. The bulk of your research work will take place between April to December. You will be required to submit a Research Paper in January the following year. This will culminate in an Oral Presentation Assessment in late February/early March. 
6)  When will the results for NRP/NRPjr be released?
Result for NRP/NRPjr will be released through your NRP/NRPjr Teacher Coordinator in July following the completion of the NRP/NRPjr cycle. 
7)  Will the results for NRP/NRPjr be reflected in my A-Level /O-Level certificate?
No. NRP/NRPjr is an enrichment activity. Your participation in the NRP/NRPjr should be worked into your portfolio/CV. 
8)  Will there be exemptions from undergraduate modules in NTU should I decide to apply to NTU?
No. There will not be any exemptions. 
9)  Who should I contact should I require more information?
