Closing Ceremony of Teaching Leadership for 21st Century Education at NIE

Last Thursday, 29 August, marked the completion of the inaugural two-week "Teaching Leadership for 21st Century Education" training programme through NIE International for UAE Ministry of Education.
The 20 participants from United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are the winners and short-listed candidates of the Mohamed bin Zayed (MbZ) for Best Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) Teacher Awards. The Award was launched in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
This course is offered as part of the prize for the prestigious Award. Mainly held in NIE from 19 August, it included site-visits to local schools, including Pathlight School and Naval Base Primary School. The closing ceremony was graced by His Excellency Dr Mohammad Omar Abdullah Belfaqeeh, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Singapore and attended by Prof Alan Chan, NTU Vice President (Alumni and Advancement).
