Launched by Health Minister Gan Kim Yong on May 6, 2016, the Centre for Population Health Sciences (CePHaS) is hosted by the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine).

CePHaS is currently headed by its Founding Director, Professor Josip Car​ who also helms the  World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Digital Health & Education, which was designated in 2019.
