CEE @45: Building Legacies, Connecting Futures - An Evening of Community and Celebration

The NTU School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) celebrated its 45th anniversary with a special Community Networking Night held at the Orchard Hotel Ballroom on 26 March 2026.  

With the theme “CEE @45: Building Legacies, Connecting Futures”, the event brought together faculty, staff, and members of the CEE community for an evening of connections, appreciation, and reflection on the School’s journey and achievements.

The event officially commenced with an opening speech by Professor Chu Jian, Chair of the School.

The programme included interactive games and activities to foster team bonding, as well as award presentations to recognise the dedication and contributions of staff.

To commemorate this special occasion, the following awards were presented:  

School Safety Award

In recognition of the team’s effort and valuable contribution towards the School Safety Committee, the certificates were awarded to Dr Augustine Chui, Maria Chong Ai Shing, Tan Hiap Guan, Lim Swee Kuan, Lim-Tay Chew Wang, Ng How Yong, Kong Boon Seng, Pang Hee Juon, Neo Ah Yong Jeff, Jee Kim Tian, See Shen Yen Pearlyn, Siti Sarah Binte Jamalludin Lee, Jamillah Bte Sa'adon, Chung Shu Hui Jacelyn, and Dr Wu Shifan

Long Service Awards 

These awards were presented in appreciation of staff members for their years of dedicated service and contributions to the School. 

Recipients of the 35-Year Long Service Award on stage: Mr Jee Kim Tian, Mr Chan Chiew Choon, Selvarani D/O Kathirvelu, Professor Tan Kang Hai, and Associate Professor Wong Yiik Diew

Recipients of the 40-Year Long Service Award on stage: Dr Lum Kit Meng and Phang-Tay Beng Choo
