The Division of Banking and Finance (NBS) hosted the second NTU Finance Conference this year on 3-4 July, with the aim of providing NTU faculty and students the opportunity of interacting with distinguished visiting speakers in a small, yet highly selective conference.
The distinguished visiting speakers were Harrison Hong (Columbia), Hui Chen (MIT Sloan School of Management), Thomas J. Chemmanur (Boston College), Daniel Ferreira (London School of Economics), and Russell Wermers (University of Maryland).
The Division of Banking and Finance hosted the inaugural NTU Finance Conference on July 25-26, 2016. This is a small, highly selective conference that allows the NTU faculty and Ph.D. students to interact with distinguished visiting speakers. This year, our distinguished visiting speakers were: Henrik Cronqvist (University of Miami), Pengjie Gao (University of Notre Dame), Andrey Malenko (MIT), Tyler Shumway (University of Michigan), and Neng Wang (Columbia).

The Division of Banking and Finance hosted the 2013 Singapore Scholars Symposium (SSS) on November 29, 2013. This is a small conference that rotates annually between Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, and Singapore Management University. The purpose of the conference is to encourage interaction between finance researchers in Singapore, and to showcase recent working papers by local researchers.
