Alumni are invited to apply for the 2024 Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) Scholarship. The application exercise is now open and will run until 10 March 2024.
The LKY Scholarship was set up in 1991 by the Tanjong Pagar Citizens’ Consultative Committee with funding from the public to commemorate the contributions made by the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew to Singapore. It marks Singapore's continuous effort to recognise outstanding Singaporeans with the aptitude and desire to contribute to Singapore and our society.
From 2024 onwards, LKY Scholarship recipients will receive an enhanced award quantum including full tuition fees coverage in addition to the existing annual allowance of S$50,000 for the duration of their postgraduate studies.
The eligibility criteria for the LKY Scholarship have also been revised to focus more strongly on candidates’ potential to contribute to Singapore and society through their pursuits and expertise. As the premier postgraduate scholarship in Singapore, LKY Scholarship applicants should possess a strong track record of leadership and achievement in their fields of pursuit/professions. Applicants should also have the potential to excel in their fields/professions, which will contribute to and benefit Singapore and our society.
