The “What’s Up Wednesday Speaker Series” is a series of fireside chats organised by the University Advancement Office to provide a platform for successful alumni who have made outstanding achievements in their own fields to share their life stories, career experiences and expertise with the OneNTU community comprising alumni, staff and students.

In the upcoming series "Inspiring Lives: One Step at a Time", Er Dr Lee Bee Wah (CEE/1985), Group Director, Meinhardt Group-Singapore and Prof Inderjit Singh (EEE/1985), CEO, Solstar International Pte Ltd, will share their valuable life experiences and journey.

Er Dr Lee Bee Wah made history at the Institution of Engineers Singapore by becoming its first woman President in 2008. She holds the distinction of being the first Singaporean to be awarded Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers, United Kingdom. Er Dr Lee served as a Member of Parliament from 2006 to 2020, and as President of the Singapore Table Tennis Association from 2008 to 2014.

Prof Inderjit Singh 
Prof Inderjit Singh (EEE/1985)

Prof Inderjit Singh is an entrepreneur who also served as a Member of Parliament from 1996 to 2015. The multi-hyphenate is an engineer by training, who worked at Texas Instruments Singapore for 13 years before founding his first company, United Test and Assembly Center at the age of 37. Prof Inderjit currently runs a multinational company, Solstar International, and is the President of the Global Startup Committee of the World Business Angels Forum (WBAF).
