Degree Conferment

Degrees are conferred by the Chancellor of NTU at the end of every month when students complete all graduation requirements. The conferment process may take up to 2 months. While degree conferment is pending, students may request for a letter of certification to certify their status. The request can be made via One Stop @ SAC.

Degree Certificate and Official Transcript

The degree certificate and official transcript are issued to graduates after their degrees have been conferred. These documents are issued at Convocation for students graduating between June and mid-July. For students graduating in other periods (end July to May) or who are unable to attend Convocation, the documents will be available for collection at One Stop @ SAC two weeks after the degree conferment date or within three working days after the end of Convocation respectively. Students will be notified via their NTU email account once the documents are ready for collection.

Graduates who are unable to collect the degree certificate and/or official transcript personally may authorise a proxy to collect on their behalf or request for the certificate and/or transcript to be mailed to them.

  • Note: SingPost has suspended international mail delivery to some countries till further notice. You may check the list here: International Service Suspension due to Covid-19 by SingPost. We will not be able to mail the degree certificate and official transcript to affected countries until the suspension is lifted by SingPost.

The degree certificate and official transcript will be withheld from graduates with outstanding fees until full payment has been made.

Students who are in their final semester of study are reminded to submit changes to their particulars (specifically name, citizenship, NRIC, passport number, or marital status) and the supporting documents prior to the release of results of their final examinations. After the final results have been released, the particulars that are in the University's records will be frozen and will be used for the printing of the final transcripts and degree certificates.

A digital degree certificate and official transcript in OpenCerts format will be issued to graduates who are graduating from Year 2020 onwards via their NTU email account. In addition, graduates* will receive an eTranscript which is digitally signed and certified by NTU.
