Toyota Scholarship
A gift to Nanyang Technological University (NTU) from Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, Toyota’s Asia regional head office in Singapore, to establish the Toyota Scholarship will go a long way to assist engineering undergraduates of the University who face financial hardships.

Made in 2013, the term gift will provide up to 5 scholarship awards per year to financially-needy students pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree in any of six schools under the University’s College of Engineering.

Toyota Global Vision involves “Enriching lives around the world”. Reflecting this, Toyota firmly believes that supporting tertiary education at established local universities is a beneficial approach to engage the local community.  The establishment of the Toyota Scholarship also aligns both Toyota and NTU’s shared value in reaching out to students from underprivileged backgrounds and creating platforms for developing the talent pool of Singapore students in becoming future leaders.

Toyota’s establishment of the scholarship awards further demonstrates their drive to ensure that promising and deserving students are able to pursue their dreams to become engineers and designers of the future.  It is Toyota’s wish that recipients of the Toyota Scholarship pay it forward in their own ways to their communities with the skills they acquire upon completion of their studies at the University.
