Day Trip to Desaru Fruit Farm, Ostrich Farm & Fire Flies viewing, Johor, Malaysia, on 19 June 2010
Twenty of us, non-members, SRC members, with their relatives joined in this eco-agricultural trip which was educational for all.We saw giant sized jack fruits for the first time. We had to wait half an hour for the heavy rain to stop before we could travel on the boat to view the fire flies. It was worth the wait. Everyone were deep in thoughts as the fire flies were so magical and surreal flying around in the trees and they looked like those white flickering lights on Christmas trees. As always, new friendships were made which is the aim of every social trips.
