Title of the Proposal: SIA Intelligent Assistant
Description: The Challenge required them to build an application that would enhance the experience of a Singapore Airlines customer. The team ideated and prototyped a personal assistant that would guide the user from the start to the end of his/her SIA journey. This included everything, from the booking of the flight, pre-flight,inflight and finally post-flight. They named the app "SIA Intelligent Assistant", or Sia for short, and made it smart through the usage of the Watsons Conversation AI, thus giving Sia the ability to respond in a conversational manner. They then complemented Sia with two service dashboards, one to handle the inflight service, the other to handle customer service. To add the icing on the cake, they also conceptualised and prototyped a PlaneChat messaging platform that allowed users to communicate with their friends and family while using the in-flight WiFi without compromising on the WiFi bandwidth. The team has gained a lot from this experience and were really glad their effort had paid off! They were proud to have represented NTU REP in this competition and hope that their win will inspire other fellow students to take part in similar competitions and challenges.
