The university can be accessed via two entrances: the Jalan Bahar main entrance, or the PIE-Jurong West extension side entrance.
If you are coming from the PIE (going towards Tuas),
- Exiting at Exit 36 and
- Turning right will bring you to Jalan Bahar. Soon you will see a white road sign leading to the university.
- Turn left into Nanyang Avenue. After quite a long and shady drive, you will reach the main gate.
- Immediately near the main gate is a drive-in stop where you can check on the campus map for a better graphical guide.
If you are coming from the PIE (going towards Changi),
- Exit at Exit 38, and
- You will see a sign indicating the entrance to the university. A short but very winding road will bring you to Nanyang Drive.
If you are coming from the housing estate of Jurong West extension,
- Drive straight and under the PIE flyover
- You will see a sign indicating the entrance to the university. A short but very winding road will bring you to Nanyang Drive.
Many huge signboards are placed along the main routes visitors would take as they come in through either of the two entrances to the university. You may use them for general directions. Drivers may also find the carpark guide (below) useful. The names of the large carparks are usually on dark grey, eye-level (from driver's position) signposts at the entrances to the carparks.
Yellow lots are reserved lots while white lots are meant for students and visitors. Please note that indiscriminate parking may result in the car being wheel-clamped.
You may want to refer to the campus map for the locations of these carparks. Clicking on the carpark alphabet here will bring you to the interactive map where the location is found.

*Note: Carparks A and B are sheltered carparks and are hence chargeable. It costs S$1.00/hr for the first two hours, and thereafter it is a S$3.00 flat rate for any duration above two hours of parking. There are automated carpark payment machines in the two carparks.
**Note: Carpark R is only for staff. However, there are some white lots along the slope (near the carpark) where anyone can park.
In addition to the above large carparks, each hall of residence has its own carpark too, though some halls have only a handful of lots for visitors. Hence if the hall is near any large carpark, the nearest carpark will be indicated as in the above listing. All staff quarters also come with parking facilities nearby. Some of these parking lots are along the roads.
