The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) boasts comprehensive state-of-the-art facilities and a faculty comprising more than 130 professors, making it one of the largest mechanical engineering schools in the world. Faculty members are drawn from renowned universities worldwide, providing a wealth of collective expertise in traditional mechanical and aerospace engineering, and in specialities including manufacturing, mechatronics, innovative design, nanotechnology, and biomedical and computational applications.
This project aims to develop the FPGA and ARM system for Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) to automate the processes in the plant. The platforms aims to combine the ARM and FPGA capabilities in a single platform to complement each other in the controlling of equipment. The project includes the use of FPGA to implement high speed inputs and outputs control, signal processing analysis, and log data. Measurements include measurements of voltage/current signals, resistance, temperatures into a standard control systems.
- Hand on experience on FPGA, ARM
- Strong English oral and writing skills
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently
