Nanyang Technological University

Research Associate (Signal Processing)

Established in 1981, the SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and strong tradition in research. To support teaching and cutting-edge research, EEE is host to 11 research centres and more than 50 laboratories, which are well-equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment. With about 200 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,300 are graduate students, it is one of the largest EEE schools in the world.

h in the area of compressive sensing, with applications to processing of signals such as image and video. A position of research associate (a master's degree in signal processing / electrical engineering / EEE) is available immediately.

The position is for a period of 1 year. Since the research involves a mathematical field such as compressive sensing, the applicant should have a love for mathematical analysis and theoretical research. The applicant should also be able to carry out simulation based applications using high-level programming environment such as Matlab. Strong background in compressed sensing, mathematics, and signal processing is a prerequisite. Prior exposure to compressed sensing, Matlab, image processing, and video processing will be an advantage.
