Research Associate (Signal Intergrity and Power Integrity)

Established in 1981, the SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and strong tradition in research. To support teaching and cutting-edge research, EEE is host to 11 research centres and more than 50 laboratories, which are well-equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment. With about 200 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,300 are graduate students, it is one of the largest EEE schools in the world.

The position of Research Associate (RA) is for a period of 12 months. The RA will be part of the research team working on a funded research project. The applicant must have good design background and research experience in signal Integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) of high-speed printed circuit board (PCB). The job scope covers:

  • Modelling and design of high-speed link of high-speed digital circuit
  • Modelling and design of power distribution network for high speed digital circuit; and
  • Non-invasive measurement on the power supply of high-speed digital circuit.

 

Requirement

  • A master degree in a relevant engineering field with experience in signal integrity, power integrity and electromagnetic compatibility design. Skills in the following areas are highly preferred:
  • EM modelling of PCB with 3D full-wave simulation software (e.g. CST, ANSYS, etc.)
  • Familiar with design rule for high-speed circuit.
  • RF measurement using VNA, TDR, oscilloscope
