Project Officer (Electronic-Engineering, Materials Sciences and Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics)

Established in 1981, the SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and strong tradition in research. To support teaching and cutting-edge research, EEE is host to 11 research centres and more than 50 laboratories, which are well-equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment. With about 200 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,300 are graduate students, it is one of the largest EEE schools in the world.

 

Job Description:

We are looking for a Project Officer to develop flexible transparent thin film transistors (TFTs), sensors, display devices and integrated circuits (ICs) for various interactive applications (e.g., high-precision touch panel, tactile sensing film, cardiac mapping film, etc.).

Specifically we are looking for expertise in one or some of the following areas:

  • transparent/flexible thin film transistors and circuits (e.g., metal oxide based TFTs, etc.);
  • transparent/flexible tactile sensors (e.g., capacitive touch sensors, pressure/strain sensors, etc.);
  • transparent/flexible display devices (e.g., electrochromic, thin film electroluminescence, electrowetting, quantum-dot-based EL, liquid crystal, etc.);
  • polymer composites / smart materials (e.g., temperature-responsive hydrogel, polymer dispersed liquid crystal, nanoparticle-polymer functional materials, etc.)

 

Job Requirements:

The candidate should have a Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering/Materials Science or Engineering/Applied Chemistry/Applied Physics.

The candidate must have hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • transparent/flexible thin film transistors and circuits (e.g., metal oxide based TFTs, etc.);
  • transparent/flexible tactile sensors (e.g., capacitive touch sensors, pressure/strain sensors, etc.);
  • transparent/flexible display devices (e.g., electrochromic, thin film electroluminescence, electrowetting, quantum-dot-based EL, liquid crystal, etc.);
  • polymer composites / smart materials (e.g., temperature-responsive hydrogel, polymer dispersed liquid crystal, nanoparticle-polymer functional materials, etc.)
