Assistant Professor in (Information Security) Risk Management

The Division of Banking and Finance of the Nanyang Business School in Singapore is looking for candidates to fill in a tenure-track assistant professor position in the area of Information Security Risk Management. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Economics of Information Security, Statistics, or related discipline. Actuarial qualification is a plus.
We are seeking candidates who are active in research in the following areas:
- Quantification of cyber risk and optimal investment in information security
- Actuarial/statistical models and metrics for vulnerability
- Cyber-insurance and information assurance
- Regulatory compliance and auditing
- Cyber-defense strategy and game theory
- Incentives for information sharing and cooperation
Nanyang Business School is hosting a multi-year Cyber Risk Management Project (CyRiM), which is a Public-Private Partnership between Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore, and leading global insurance companies. The project aims to bring technology and business approaches together to develop innovative risk management and insurance solutions for corporations through, for instance, optimisation of cybersecurity spending and collective action to counter cyber-crimes. CyRiM provides Nanyang Business School with real-world problems in a variety of industry settings, as well as a fertile ground for new ideas and innovative approaches. The candidate is expected to conduct theoretical and applied research in information security risk measurement and modeling, and to publish in actuarial science, risk management and insurance, cybersecurity and/or related business and finance journals.
