NTU's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) aspires to be a leading school for Sustainable Urban Systems. Currently, it has over 60 faculty members and more than 1,500 students, and is rapidly expanding its range of educational and research activities. Its faculty has led major university-wide strategic research thrusts in space creation, water research and sustainable built environment. Going forward, CEE is addressing critical problems in urban systems such as building and energy systems, sustainability of urban cities, and resiliency to natural and unnatural risks.
To fuel further development, we invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Faculty position in the area of Separation Technology for Water, Energy and Environment.
The specific requirement of this position is that the candidates should have an earned PhD degree in Environmental/Chemical Engineering, Materials and Chemistry with a strong interdisciplinary focus on separation science and technology for liquids and gases, based on experimental studies and theoretical analyses of phenomena associated with and arising from separation and purification as well as process development and simulation, etc.
The successful candidate is expected to work independently and jointly with other faculty members to attract funding in relevant areas of research, and demonstrate an ability to teach relevant courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels and is expected to enhance the school's existing curriculum. Teaching experience is desirable but not absolutely required. Besides, experience with the industry will be an advantage.
