Requirements:
- Must possess a good Bachelor / Master degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or a related field from a reputable university.
- Must have a strong background in material science.
- Prefer to have knowledge on semiconductor material characterization.
- Prefer to have vacuum based equipment handling.
- Able to work in a team in the realization of the R&D work.

POSITION : Research Associate / Research Scientist (Advanced Materials Group)

Requirements

Post Doctoral positions in Side-Channel and Fault Attacks (4 positions)
Temasek Labs at Nanyang Technological University is seeking 4 Research Scientists in the area of side-channel and fault attacks. The newly founded lab is dedicated to all aspects of side-channel and fault attacks and offers brand-new facilities, a very diverse international research environment, and the opportunity to undertake independent research.
Candidates shall hold, or expect to obtain, a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field. A solid background in one or several areas of Statistics, Mutual Information Analysis, DEMA attacks, fault attacks, practical measurements, lightweight implementations (software and/or hardware) would be considered an advantage.
Expected starting date is in early August 2011 and funding is available for 3 years, thus the contract will be for up to 3 years (depending on the successful candidates' ability to start work in Singapore).

POSITION : Associate Scientist / Research Scientist
You will be part of a team conducting cutting-edge research and development in the field of integrated photonics. You will work in the design, development and testing of photonic devices, such as modulators or filters, based on material systems such as lithium niobate or silicon.
Requirements
○ Good PhD degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline from a reputable university. Candidates with Masters degrees and highly relevant experience and skills will also be considered. (Students about to complete their PhD/Masters degree and those with industry experience in relevant fields will be considered too).
○ Experience in the following areas is highly desired:
• Cleanroom processing, particularly in the fabrication of semiconductor or lithium niobate devices.
• Optical waveguide and related photonic device modeling and simulation.
• High speed electronic and photonic characterization of integrated devices.
○ In addition, the ideal candidate will have:
• Keen interest in physics.
• Strong background in electromagnetic theory and waveguide theory.
• Familiarity with scientific programming based in MATLAB or related languages.
• Experience in microwave (RF) engineering.
○ The candidate should:
• Be able to work both independently and in a team in conducting R&D work.

As a research associate/research scientist, you will conceptualize and engineer solutions to automatically discover and eliminate security flaws in both open and closed source software.
