Research assistant position: Nanotopography & cell mechanobiology
Job description:
A research associate/ assistant position is available immediately in Dr. Sing Yian Chew’s laboratory (http://www.ntu.edu.sg/home/sychew ) at the School of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, to study the effects of nanotopography on cell-substrate interactions.
Job requirements:
Applicants should have at least Masters or Bachelor degree, skilled in microscopy (live-cell imaging) and biology techniques such as PCR, western blot, transfection, immunostaining. Applicants with prior experience in microfabrication techniques and with published experience are preferred.

Dr. Liu Quan's laboratory in the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a qualified person for one post-doctoral research fellow position in the field of biomedical optics. This laboratory focuses on the development of novel biomedical optics/biophotonics technology for medical diagnostics. The successful candidate will be involved in developing optical imaging techniques in clinical applications. The candidate should have hand-on experience in biomedical optics or applied optics. The salary will be determined in accordance with NTU's policy. The initial contract will be one year and could be extended depending upon mutual interests. Qualifications:
The candidate should have a PhD degree in Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Physics/Biophysics, Optical Engineering or related fields. This laboratory focuses on the development of novel biomedical optics/biophotonics techniques for medical diagnostics. The responsibilities of the project officer will include lab maintenance and participating in project development. The person will have an opportunity to get trained in optical experiments, spectroscopic data analysis and clinical/animal studies. The salary will be determined in accordance with NTU’s policy. The initial contract will be one year and could be extended. A highly motivated candidate will have an opportunity to change to a PhD student. Qualifications:
