Job Description:
The Institute for Media Innovation (IMI http://imi.ntu.edu.sg/) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU http://www.ntu.edu.sg/) invites applications for several research associate positions. The positions are to contribute to the research done in the Institute and mostly in virtual humans and 3D simulation. IMI is an interdisciplinary Institute that works on interactive 3D visualizations, virtual humans, social robots, simulation of deformable surfaces, virtual reality and groups & crowds.
Job Requirements:
As the job is to provide research support for an Institute focusing on the topics defined above, and also for an immersive 3D system, applicants are required to have the following skills:
• Master degree or good Bachelor degree in related areas.
• Experience in Computer Graphics.
• Passionate in working with 3D systems or in mobile applications.
• Excellent programming knowledge in C++.
• Experienced in application development.
• Good interpersonal and communication skill.

Research Fellow
Job Description:
The Institute for Media Innovation (IMI http://imi.ntu.edu.sg/ ) at Nanyang Technological University immediately invites applications for Postdoc positions to work in Singapore, in the following areas:
a. behavioral models for virtual humans as well as interactive social robots. Particular topics of interest are emotions, relationship, memory processes.
b. Interaction in 3D virtual worlds, groups and crowd simulation.
c. 3D Web based technology to work on applications as virtual try on of garments
d. physics based simulation of deformable surfaces and volumes
Researchers will have an opportunity to work in a cutting-edge interactive environment with top equipment as a new immersive room, real-time motion capture and social robots.
Eligibility
The position requires a PhD in computer science or a related area. Experience in 3D interactive graphics as evidenced by publications and international conferences participation is desirable. Strong capacity and commitment to research is mandatory.

IMI is an interdisciplinary Institute that works on interactive 3D visualizations, virtual humans and social robots.
The job includes the following tasks:
• Responsible for the maintenance of the website , which cites the main objective as well as highlights of the site's daily updates; which also contains hyperlinks that functions to direct viewers to a designated page within the site's domain.
• Propose and initiate new graphic designs of today’s high work quality standard of web design and development.
• Design the content for the Institute’s new brochures and pamphlets
• Collaborate on UI interface with researchers.
Job Requirements:
• Master Degree in Multimedia/Computing/Graphic Design or related field
• Some expertise on 3D web modelling
• Have a strong interest in latest web trends and a talent for design
• Professional in software tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and others Professional expertise in Flash, XML and MySQL/MSSQL are requested
• Expertise in UI (Interface) design
• Skilled in Sharepoint, HTML (HTML5), Java script , CSS or others
• Strong knowledge in server side scripting like PHP/ASP
• At least 3 years of related working experience and excellent command of English is required
