    Technical Executive (Film)
     

    Responsibilities:

    You will be required to provide technical support in the area of video and audio productions and be involved with setting up of production studios, purchases of AV equipment and video/graphics/editing software. You are also required to perform maintenance and inventories of equipment and facilities for the Digital Filmmaking area. You will also be liaising with the IT department in media related operations.  You should preferably have additional knowledge and be able to provide support in IT systems. You will also assist in the general administration to ensure the smooth operation of Digital Filmmaking programs.

    Scope of Work

    You will assist Digital Film Faculty members & Manager in the following key areas:  

    • Repair and maintain film equipment, including equipment in film labs, animation green screen and soundstage.
    • Check returned equipment to ensure it is fully operational and in good working condition before going up on the shelf, including managing a battery charging station for all batteries
    • On location film shoot assistance
    • Auditorium setups for film screenings
    • Plan and conduct regular equipment handling workshops for staff and students
    • Increase knowledge of equipment and keep up-to-date with technical advances in digital film.
    • Handle equipment check-in/out at the loan counter.
    • Manage online database of film inventory & web checkout software system
    • Manage day-to-day scheduling of reservations and loans of film equipment for staff and students
    • Assist in Procurement of film equipment through ITQs and tenders
